New Labor Forum is a national labor journal from the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies, The Murphy Institute. Published three times a year, New Labor Forum provides a place for labor and its allies to test and debate new ideas. Politics, Culture and Socialization (PCS) publishes new and significant work in all areas of political socialization in order to achieve a better scientific understanding of the origins of political behaviors and orientations of individuals and groups.  
 
 
 
Political socialization theory and research focus on processes by and structures through which individuals become or do not become politically active and acquire or do not acquire general political knowledge, and particular political beliefs, opinions, attitudes, emotions, values and behavioral intentions.  
 
 
 
The focus of attention is on political socialization processes – including political education, information, persuasion, marketing, or propaganda and their underlying and accompanying motivations – and political socialization structures – including the family, school, mass media, peer groups, social networks, and politics.

Der Name PERIPHERIE geht auf das Begriffspaar Zentrum und Peripherie zurück, mit dem sich die Möglichkeit eröffnet, Prozesse von Verarmung und Ungleichheit im geographischen Süden und Norden strukturell zusammenzudenken. Dieser Ansatz ist aus Sicht der Redaktion in der über 30jährigen Geschichte der Zeitschrift aktuell geblieben, auch wenn weitere Konzepte und Theorierichtungen als sinnvolle Ansätze und alternative Perspektiven hinzugetreten sind.

Rationality & Society is a peer-reviewed journal which focuses on the growing contributions of rational-action based theory, and the questions and controversies surrounding this growth.  
 
Why Choose Rationality and Society?  
The trend toward ever-greater specialization in many areas of intellectual life has lead to fragmentation that deprives scholars of the ability to communicate even in closely adjoining fields. The emergence of the rational action paradigm as the inter-lingua of the social sciences is a remarkable exception to this trend. It is the one paradigm that offers the promise of bringing greater theoretical unity across disciplines such as economics, sociology, political science, cognitive psychology, moral philosophy and law. The paradigm is also important for efforts to solve pressing social problems, because it provides the theoretic basis for most public policy analysis.
